Banana Oatmeal

It's 3'oclock and I'm hungry! So... I decided to whip up some oatmeal with vanilla and banana for flavor. Even though I made this as a snack it can of course be used for the meal of the day you usually find it, breakfast.  
I like using Irish McCann's Steel Cut Oats. They are thick and have excellent fiber!

Banana Oatmeal

Servings: 1 Ÿ Size: 1 bowl Ÿ Calories: 340 Ÿ Fat: 3g Ÿ Protein: 7g Ÿ Carb: 89g Ÿ Fiber: 8g Ÿ Sugar: 40g Ÿ Sodium: 7mg Ÿ Health Benefits: No cholesterol Ÿ low sodium Ÿ High in manganese

·      ½ cup uncooked oatmeal (I use old fashion irish)
·      1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
·      10 raisins (or how ever many you want)
·      1 Tbsp. honey (raw organic with pollen)
·      1 banana
·      1 tsp. vanilla extract
·      ¼ tsp. cinnamon

Get Cooking:

Bring the almond milk to a boil.  Add the uncooked oats.  Boil on low for 3 minutes.  Add ½ of the banana smashed.  Add the vanilla extract. Add cinnamon.  Pour into bowl and garnish with sliced bananas and raisins. Enjoy!
